The recent scandal involving a fellow member of the Tan family in Singapore has rocked the entire of Singapore, revealing that in fact a political party made up of elites of the highest caliber can in fact be corrupt, can in fact be slave to the impulses that make up human beings at large.

I think it makes that party look all the more human though – it too is subject to flaws, as incredible an organization as it is, as well-constructed it is from the outside.

As human beings, we do have our flaws and our desires, our dreams and imperfections – all part of the oil that keeps the cogs running forward in a journey that for people at large is often long and intense; apparently millions of dollars in compensation, societal recognition, and other surface-level pleasantries that people fight for are window dressing – they are not guarantees that nothing will go awry in life.

What I’ve seen from Singapore lately has been shocking – something most unfortunate that has shown that no bastion is too high to fall, regardless of how well-constructed it is.

I am hoping for SG to come out stronger and am confident that the fundamentals are there, though.

My Meditation

This isn’t a New Year’s resolution post, but it’s a little observation about something that I really want for the year, and that is the ability to think fast and process faster. This is my meditation, differing from any other meditation I’ve seen. I know it seems like a bit […]

What we share and what we don’t.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but on the topic of what we choose to share on the internet or in published life, I think that personal standards and egoes are a pretty interesting topic. As it goes, I think if you’re going to type something and spend […]

Time’s Unending Bound

THE SAD THING IS that we are bound by time. Every single one of you – the reader, the writer, the person just casually scrolling by – all of you are bound in this common experience, only to be reminded of it every single time you lock at the clock […]

The Close of 2025

Can you believe it’s the end of the year? Well, whether you believe it is or not doesn’t matter, cause it is 😀 Here we are, tail end of 2025 and leading into the new horizon that is 2026. Did you have a fun time? I did. 🙂 I don’t […]

I Create, Therefore I Am

Once upon a time, Descartes articulated a simple and famous philosophy: I think, therefore I am. His idea was simple: Life is ambiguous, thoughts can be interpreted in wildly different ways; the entirety of the senses can be fooled, turned into illusions, and at the end of the day there […]

Sorry for not writing.

It feels like an era since I last came back here, and it has been. I’m sorry I haven’t been present, but a lot of stuff happened: I went to Japan, I got so much more serious about YouTube, I got a lot faster, and I guess I got caught […]
