There’s a very liberating feeling that comes about when a person lets go of all the things that they felt used to hold them back – a sense that maybe things are easier to do, a feeling that nobody is restraining them.

That’s definitely how I’ve felt about making content recently, even as I make things that not everyone may agree with or things that people may feel are controversial.

Some people say that it’s dangerous, and maybe that’s true, but the way I think about my content is that I should make content that is true to myself, to what I believe in, and what I’m fighting for – and that if there is a social aspect to what I do and choose to create, it is that it should reshape society in an image that I want it to be reshaped in.

I find it odd that I didn’t use to think this way – that somehow or another it always felt difficult to say what I truly wanted to say, that my voice was somehow caught inside a metaphorical throat filled with narrow passageways and constant blockages, refusing to allow what came from within to be expressed.

Moving ahead seems a little easier now, and it is something that I will do.

Looking forward to sharing more with the world soon 🙂

The World Through Text

I find the word “text” an exceptionally interesting word for many different reasons, but the most immediate one that comes to mind is that its origin is from weaving; that’s where “textile” comes from, as well as the beautiful analogy that immediately appears between a well-written essay, book, or even […]

The Strange Interstices

I’d like to take a moment to appreciate just how significant the moment of kairos is. For those of you who don’t know, “kairos” is a Greek word that means anything from “opportune time” or “right place, right venue, right moment” – and if you hadn’t encountered it before, it’s […]

The Autobiography of Claude Fable

Some of you may know that I speak to LLMs quite a fair bit. Well, looks like I went one level deeper. In what seems like an eternity ago, Anthropic released Claude Fable 5 and Mythos, two frontier models that proceeded to shake the world. They brought about full-on export […]

Lessons

I’m lying down right now with my eyes closed, trying to rest while releasing a couple of thoughts. I’ve been watching a ton of videos about vibe coding and how people create apps and take part in a dream. I think I have a bit of a picture of what […]

The Violence We Do To The World

I’ve been reading Hannah Arendt’s The Human Condition recently and it is truly a fascinating book. It distinguishes work, labour and action from one another – Something that you might think is trivial or unimportant, but that as it turns out is really quite important for understanding how human beings […]

Slapmania

One of the most fascinating sports I’ve ever seen in my life is the sport of professional slapping. My first exposure to this wonderful art, travesty, or disaster (whatever you like) came when I first saw Charles White Jr’s slapping playlist on YouTube. Ever since, I’ve watched the odd slap […]
