So many things happened over the past week that I think that the entire thing is basically a blur – way too many things to even think about any individual one of them in clear detail.

For instance, we’ve got GPT-4 on ChatGPT alongside punishing rate limits that basically make the thing unusable after 25 prompts:

…But then you also have the epically awesome outputs that come out from the thing that make you realize that it’s perfectly understandable why it is that people are interested in using this thing to the hilt.

Then, you’ve got Midjourney V5 coming out, alongside natural language prompting, and this whole range of insane looking tessellations that can be created just with the software itself.

I have plenty of thoughts about all of these things and ultimately everything that’s happened this past week, but the most cool of these things, I think, was probably the Microsoft 365 Future Of Work event.

Too long to watch?

Honestly, I think that you’d be depriving yourself there, but a couple of things:

A) It’s wild to imagine that in the future, all of us will essentially just be creating presentations and documents by doing nothing but just using natural language in order to communicate.

B) I never actually thought that I’d think that Microsoft would be cool during my lifetime!

It’s been a pretty incredible week to say the very least, and although it started with a bit of a hiccup on my part, I can’t wait for the next ones ahead 🙂

Incidentally, I also just started a small project in collaboration with my freelancer and also in alignment with my focus on education; if you’d be interested to check it out, head here 🙂

Making It

As I was practicing the cello this morning, I remember feeling a big sense of frustration that I wasn’t hitting the notes properly. In that moment, I caught myself in an interesting thought: “Shit, Timmy is going to scold me later.” I thought about how my fingers were clumsy and […]

Human in an AI Age.

As Claude Fable is released into the world, I think we have hit a critical point that has made me reflect and recognize that being a human in the AI age… Is just flat out weird. Look at the world around us now.  You open emails, and they’re written with […]

Splitting Focus

One of the things I really wish I could do is split my focus into two. To have my brain just divide up my attention while I’m focusing on other things simultaneously. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could just read that manga while at the same time understanding everything […]

A Small Thought On Equilibria

As you know, I recently lost quite a lot of weight, maintaining all of my muscle ever since the beginning of the year – people consider it a great success and I do as well, but the question arises: Why did I have to lose weight again in the first […]

On Learning From A Mentor

One thing that you learn from being on this planet for a while is that at times, you may actually end up better than a lot of other people at other things, but at the same time you have to be open to learning because others can teach you things […]

A Small Project

A small thing that not everyone might have noticed is this: I’ve lost about 8kg from November till now (we started at 79kg), or 5.7, if you’re looking at the first recorded picture in which I started tracking my journey. I like the idea of weight loss, and how it […]
